Precautions for flanges during construction

Top Ten Precautions for Flange Construction

During flange construction, it is important to ensure that the site is clean and free from rainwater and dust contamination.

Top ten precautions for flange construction:

    1. During the construction process, repair and workshop technicians must be present.

    2. The labor protection equipment, construction tools, and work site of construction personnel should be oil-free, strictly prevent secondary pollution, and the cushion bolts should be degreased.

    3. The degreasing site should be ventilated, clean, and free from rainwater and dust contamination.

    4. After degreasing, the solvent on the surface of the degreased parts should be removed until there is no residual liquid or odor, and they should be wrapped in a clean oil-free plastic cloth for later use.

    5. Cotton yarn should not be used for wiping and degreasing parts. Silk and glass fiber fabrics that are not easily scattered should be used. After degreasing, careful inspection should be carried out to ensure that there are no fiber attachments on the surface of the degreased parts.

    6. The disconnected flange needs to be continuously constructed until the end, and construction personnel are not allowed to leave the site during the construction process.

    7. Pay attention to the maintenance of the flange opening during the construction process and prevent any foreign objects from entering; If foreign objects fall in, timely contact should be made to take measures.

    8. All tools used should be clean and oil-free, and tools for cleaning flange surfaces must be degreased.

    9. All flanges should be tightened in two to three stages, and the gap between the flange faces should be evenly measured with a caliper. The size deviation of the symmetrical point should be less than 0.2mm to ensure that there is no leakage after pressurization.

    10. All jumper wires on flanges should be configured in good condition and ensure secure contact.
